About Us

The Australian Chapter of Road Riders for Jesus is headed up by the National Coordinators Robert and Donna Hill. People are usually thrilled to find a group of friends that they can share common interests with. Being able to combine motorcycle riding with our love of Jesus gives our members a special bond. That is why the Road Riders for Jesus is not just a ministry, but they have also  become a family. They are ready to welcome you into this family. Feel free to contact Road Riders for Jesus Australia, or attend a chapter meeting near you. All Road Riders for Jesus events are open to everyone, including YOU!

History

In August of 1999, several Christian motorcyclists in the St. Louis, MO area came together to form a ministry. The Road Riders For Jesus is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that welcomes all motorcyclists and all brands of motorcycles. Although we provide many riding activities for our members, we are not just a ride group or a Christian club, but The Road Riders For Jesus is also a ministry. As we ride the highways and back roads, we seek to fulfil the GREAT COMMISSION of our Lord by sharing the Good News of salvation with others, especially those of the motorcycling world.

From that time we have grown incredibly. Each year we have at least doubled in membership and we have nearly 4000 members and around 100 chapters. We currently have members and chapters meeting all over the US and several other countries. We have a vision to have chapters in all areas of the U. S. as well as around the world.

Although we are excited by the growth in numbers we are even more excited by the way so many lives have been changed. Many people have taken up the challenge to become more actively involved in reaching the lost for Christ. As a result we have seen many people dedicate or rededicate their lives to God’s service. We’ve seen marriages enriched, parents and children reunited, friendships made and had lots of fun in doing it!

Our Logo Elements

THE UPPER AND LOWER BANNERS…
Banners and pennants have been used throughout history as declarations of identity and allegiance. Our banners declare who we are and to whom we serve. Banners were often carried into battle for identity, as we proudly carry these banners, as we shall declare JESUS as Lord and Saviour and share the Gospel of the Good News.

THE SHIELD…
The three points of the shield represent the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The BIBLE, represents the Word of God, the WHITE DOVE, represents the Holy Spirit, and the CROSS, represents Jesus and the salvation he bought for us.
LIVING FOR GOD, RIDING FOR JESUS, and LED BY THE SPIRIT… This is the mission statement of THE ROAD RIDERS FOR JESUS.

THE EAGLE…
Is a symbol of freedom and strength. A freedom that comes from accepting Jesus as our Personal Saviour and strength that comes from serving God. “They that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as EAGLES; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

RED, WHITE, AND BLUE COLORS of the logo…
RED-
represents the precious blood of Jesus, shed for the remission of our sins.
WHITE- represents the purity and sovereignty of the Holy Spirit.
BLUE- represents the deity of Almighty God, our Heavenly Father.
As Australians, These three colours represent freedom, … the freedom to worship and serve God.

What We Believe

  • We believe that Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead on the third day after His crucifixion. His resurrection was the proof of His deity and the foundation of the gospel of salvation.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ ascended into heaven forty days after His resurrection to sit down at the right hand of God where He ever lives as our mediator to make intercession for us. He is in Heaven with a glorified body.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit who convicts, regenerates, comforts, leads and illuminates our hearts to the truth of God’s Word. He seals and indwells every believer for the day of our full redemption.
  • We believe that salvation is a free gift received by God’s pure grace, through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Those who receive Christ by faith have their sins forgiven and give evidence that they are children of God, a new creation in Jesus Christ. It is received by faith alone.
  • We believe the true church is made up of all of those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, who voluntarily fellowship together to worship, be instructed in His Word and reach others with the Gospel of Christ. The two ordinances of the church are baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ will return a second time to this earth in power and glory to receive His bride, the church, destroy evil and reign in glory for ever and ever.

By joining with Road Riders for Jesus there are expectations as it is a ministry NOT a club.

If there is a chapter near you, join it and be faithful to attend meetings and events. Commit yourself to the vision, be an active member and let your chapter know they can count on you. Wear your colours , especially when you ride.

Commit yourself to loving our Lord, your chapter and those we endeavour to minister to. “You shall love you’re the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbour as yourself.” (Luke 10:27).

Pray for your Chapter and its’ officers. The devil knows that if he can topple a spiritual leader or get him discouraged enough to quit, it will have a domino effect on the rest of the chapter. The chapter leaders are on the cutting edge of the battle with satan and need to be prayed for fervently.

Get to know your chapter officers and cooperate with them. Show respect and cooperate with their authority within the chapter. Avoid challenging their right or worthiness to serve in their position., but accept that God has seen fit to place them in this position. (Rom.13:1)

Help shoulder the load of responsibility. Leaders of a chapter can often feel much as Moses did when Israel fought with Amelek. Their arms become weary under the weight of so many responsibilities and they need brothers and sisters to stand beside them and help distribute the load. The Lord never intends the Road Riders for Jesus Ministry to be carried by one person or a mere handful of people.

Apply the training, teaching and ministry to your life. It helps your Chapter Ministry when you like and conduct yourself in a Christ like manner. “Brethren, join in following my example and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern” (Phil. 3:17). Safe riding and witnessing to others and so on. Whether you realise it or not you are a billboard for your chapter and Road Riders for Jesus, especially when wearing your colours.

Seek out and use your gifts. According to scripture, the Lord distributes gifts to each in the body of Christ as it pleases him. Spiritual gifts are not provided merely for your own gratification but so the body of Christ (the church) would be edified or built up. God has given you gifts that will be a help to the chapter and it is up to you to discover, develop and utilize them to the glory of God.

Contribute to solutions and not problems. Be involved and help the chapter in some way. There is no place for matters that have a negative influence on the chapter – gossip, complaining misunderstandings that cause hurt feelings, discontent and so forth. Spiritually mature persons do not become part of these problems but contribute to solutions. Avoid divisive people (Rom. 16:17) and don’t get caught up in the mischief of grievances of others (1Tim. 5:13). Bring problems to the attention of the ministry leadership.
